Georgetown University

Renovation of existing structure, with very limited and difficult rigging access. This project involved two phases of work.
Phase I consisted of setting three 6000 GPM cooling tower banks and three 400+ HP pumps.
Phase II consisted of setting two 6000 GPM cooling tower banks, two 2000 ton centrifugal chillers, six 150 HP pumps, seven 25,000 CFM roof top exhaust fans & associated gravity hoods. Approximately 5,000' of new pipe work was installed ranging from 30" diameter to 3/4" diameter of which 80% was shop fabricated. All new welded pipe systems were subject to random U.T. Non-Destructive Testing with excellent results. This job required very tight completion time frames that were met with no disruption to the University's daily operations.
